The Piedmont Learning Center at Eden Mill Nature Center will be offering this course for ages 12 and older and the fee is $12 for members or $14 for non-members.   The honeybee provides the necessary pollination to support approximately one third of our diet.  Delve into the secret world of the honeybee first-hand in this introductory course.  As a student, you will learn about the honeybee itself, the hierarchy and habits within a colony, and an introduction to the art of beekeeping.  A general handout will be provided for note-taking.  Follow-up courses will be offered for an in-depth look at the processes of beekeeping.
